Kuinerraq, New River Channel

This was my first film that explores my maternal family’s Yup’ik roots and how climate change has impacted this remote Alaskan village. I was the storyteller and director of the film. This film has been screened in over 40 venues in the U.S., Europe and Canada winning four awards.

35,567 Yup’ik Stories

There are 35,567 Yup’ik people in the world and I am one of them. My goal with this film about Pamuya, an Inuit-soul musical group from my home state of Alaska, is to share one of the many diverse stories of my people and culture. This film represents me as a storyteller, editor and director. The film earned a Founder's Circle award at Film Prize Junior New Mexico 2024 festival.

Capstone Project

For my eighth grade Capstone project, I built a computer and wanted to make a funny film documenting the process that was at times exciting and at other times frustrating.

This is a companion film for the slide show portion of my Capstone project where I attempt to answer how technology is used in Rural Alaska and the potential pitfalls on the Yup'ik culture.
